Went to see the boys at A.R.Pound this morning, what a nice bunch and the prices quoted were smack on my budgeted numbers, very pleasing.

Good enough for Smithy, good enough for me

Anyway with paint and a bit of interior tidying up by ARP, I won't be hiding round the back of Silverstone this August.

Anybody else wanting a decent price on trim be aware that they have at least 2 months work in the order book though.

BTW, I was quite surprised to find that this new car is full leather, according to the original order it was an extra £1,500! Nice

And the budget figure is ......... ?

My interior could do with a re-trim soon and it would be good to have an idea of budget.

How tatty can seat be before redoing is the only option ? mine are just very creased and then the crease get very grubby, I cant seem to shift the dirt in the crease.

No problem, mine are the same, they can be sorted for about £50.00 per seat, which is about £170 cheaper than all leather recover

To remove the grubby creases from my seats I bought a pot of magnolia acrylic that was suitable for leather from an art shop, plus the sealant. Both came about £10.

Apply the acrylic paint with a sponge, let it dry, use a damp cloth to remove the excess from the coloured piping and then apply the sealant.

Took less than half a day in total and very pleased with the results.

Its not that far down the A1 to Baldock if you don't find anybody but The Trim Shop Redditch might just be a bit closer and they can do similar

Went to A & R Pound today, your right ,a good bunch of blokes.

I got a quote for having my seat redone in leather, although I could have had the re- connilised (sp)

FYI: The quote for 2 seats to beredone in leather, refitting a new heater element into the driver seat(i have this part already) and a new geat stick gaiter is between £350- £400.

Doesnt sound too bad to me, cant do it until May though

I paid £440 plus VAT for the seats and headrests on the the 3000S at The Trim Shop Redditch, who were very competative, so ARP are ok in my book, the only thing not metioned by ARP was that TTS repainted the base in Hamerite included in the price, so it was a full refurb but how much is a bit of Hamerite?
