Baffling Wiper electric problem
Discussion
In the Griffith 92, which uses the Vauxhall steering arrangement, stage one wiper position (intermittent) has stopped functioning. Putting the wipers on intermittent does nothing, the wiper are still. If I go to stage two or three, the wipers function but as soon as the stalk is returned to intermittent position the wipers simply stop, they do not continue to park themselves.
The delay switch (which allows the wipers to continue until park) has been replaced but the above still is occurring.
Any ideas what might be the problem here ? I have a replacement stalk assembly, is failure within this assembly likely to cause the above ?
Any help much appreciated.

Not much help but mine seem to do strange things too.
In heavy rain the intermittent setting becomes the same as stage two (slow, full time) which is alright because in heavy rain who needs intermittent wipe?
Takes a while to dry out, minutes to an hour, but it all gets back to normal.
Until the next time.
(I think I'm getting the hang of TVR ownership, none of the little quirks bother me
).

does sound like the park switch. On the chim its right in the line of fire from all the rainwater that runs down the screen and across the bulkhead and quickly corrodes. On my chim it was also on the same fuse as the brake lights so it became apparent when someone told me they werent working. A new switch was about £8 from TVR-gear.

Do the wipers self park from normal and high speed? If not, make sure the relay in the passenger footwell is properly seated.
Think you may be on the right track Barreti. I've been in the footwell today.
According to the Bible diagrams (pages 240 to 243), there are various relay boards. All applicable to the Griff show the bottom third to the right as the wipe delay relay. This relay, on my board, is empty. The wipers stopped when the car had a new battery fitted so I’m guessing the relay has been knocked out or worked loose as a result of all the wiring moving during the process.
I’ve routed around as much as possible but can’t find the relay.
Now there are two numbers shown in the bible on the relay, either M0227 or RFLK30 – anyone know what they mean and how I tell which one I need ?
