I've owned my Tuscan for a year and a half now and i love it to bits, apart from radio/cd head unit. Is it just me that just wants a plain, no frills radio that takes one cd at a time with basic functions. Mine glows red with flashing graphics which is so distracting, especially at night! Everything is operated using the the one Knob (NOT ME !) or a combination of pressing other buttons along with said knob (once again not me !).It is virtually impossible to operate on the move, what with hard suspension on good old british road surfaces.I don't want bluetooth/sat nav/voice activation bolXXXks.All I want is to turn it on to listen to the radio or if I want, just slide a cd in with no drama, no flashing graphics. If anyone knows of where I can get basic radio/cd head unit, either websites or shops around Hampshire/ south coast would be great. ANDY

I found a bloke who does old stereo units, I put a period 90's stereo in mine and it does as you say. Ain't got the greatest sound in the world but it's only really there for show as the RV8 sounds so true. smile
I can't find the phone number at the mo!
I'll look again and let you know.

You sound just like me OP. Dam modern junk!

Try on of these, many have on here, there was a thread about it.
Pioneer DEH-P77MP, really simple to operate.

Got mine off the bay for about £30.

20 quid and it's yours (inc. postage), missing the facia trim but available on Ebay.

The thing it's sat on is a Pioneer CD-RB20, if it's any use to you I'm happy to chuck that in with it smile

c/w handbook, adaptor cable and box for front panel........

Mike

Is that a shallow unit? Looking for something a bit shallower that doesn't look like an 80's disco

it's not Paul, it is a normal 6 inches !

Front hinges down to load a CD, don't think the front actually comes off for security, that box must be from something else?

Thanks Mike

You old charmer you wink

I have several units in the spares cupboard some with changer units. If anyone is interested I can post up a list for peeps. They are all normal sized.

Paul, you may find a shallow 'normal looking' unit in Halfords. I recall seeing one in there earlier this year that was a radio and mp3 (phone) player.

I thought the same when I bought mine, ended up with a JVC avx2 DVD player that has DAB, Ipod connectivity etc with add on boxes. Didn't want the flashing disco on the front of many
