Nissan Juke or what?

Sister in law has asked me to help with their new car, she likes the look of a Juke but what else would you suggest? Assume a budget of circa £20k and buying new. Key thing is she has a 4 year old and an 8 year old. Also is there anything a bit leftfield that has a sliding rear door? She has a side on drive and this would help.

Nissan Juke is 'British', with a Renault Engine/transmission. This powertrain is made in France, the rest assembled in Sunderland. The same powertrains are used in the Renault-Dacia Sandero Stepway, and the 1.5DCi is very excellent, as are the TCe90 petrols.
£9.9K for a petrol Lauréate spec, with aircon, cruise, satnav, BlueTooth, electric mirrors and windows, and that desirable SUV look. DCi90 about £1000 more, gives 70 mpg. Three seatbelts and two IsoFix in the rear for sprogs.
Add a spare wheel for £100 to the options. £500 dealer rebate for low rate HP.
Or pay a lot more for a Qashqai with the same engine.

Sliding doors wise a Mazda5 is worth a look & they come in well under budget but buying a new one may be tough as they stopped making it earlier in the year.Mazda 5

We've got a (cheap lease) Citroen Cactus which probably has more space/toys and gives an elevated driving position also. The Juke is definitely too small, it's the sort of car where I can't think of any actual circumstances where you would buy one, but they sell loads because of the way they look. That said I have a semi-irrational dislike for the Juke and the Quashquai because Nissan dropped a pair of really good 'normal' shaped cars to build those instead.
Anyway, my recommendation based on a hire car I had a couple of years ago would be a Citroen C3 Picasso type thing. Spacious for a small car, elevated driving position and decent looks.

Quick update, we've narrowed it down to a Juke or a B max. Lease wise the Juke is miles cheaper but PCP is now being suggested as the preferred way forward. Main dealer offers were not tempting today, any suggestions on PCP brokers as opposed to lease brokers to use as leverage or do the deal?
