Hi there,

I've got a Sony projector with about 1500h bulb life (it's rated at 2000h per bulb).

Anyway, recently it's developed a blue/purple tint in one area: this is a circular shape, and sits roughly central-top of the screen... This is the same for all inputs too.

So, am wondering: is this the kind of thing that starts to show when the bulb needs replacing? Or is it a "gone bulb" would just display no light at all?

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks

IIRC as lamps die they just get dimmer. Wonder if it's the LCD panel?

It wil be a hair on the lens / one of the screens inside.

My Sony prohector did this too.

Try blowing down the lens.. if it doesnt work, I removed the lid, and Sprayed Compressed Air over the internals. Sorted it right out.
