I'm just trying to get my cars insured after a not using them for a bit.
My old insurer doesn't seem to want to take them on again - any recommendations will be gratefully received.

It seems some of the larger firms have started reducing their upper value limit so I suppose I'll have to go with a more specialised insurer?

Thanks in advance.

RKH, Chubb, loads out there. Admiral with gap insurance is a good option for entry and midrange stuff.

I've found NFU Mutual and Pace Ward to both be very accommodating as well as competitive.

Yup, hence the "entry and midrange" quote. Pricier or rarer stuff is best done with a specialist / Lloyds insurer with agreed value. RKH, PW, etc.

The person on the phone may say that but it can go up to £250,000, ask them to refer to a manager or the underwriters.

A decent broker - cough, cough ;-) - will be able to sort this with one of their high-net-worth insurers - e.g. Zurich Private Clients, Home & Legacy, Oak Underwriting etc.
