try carwow. When I was thinking about a 3 door S3 the best discount I got was around £6,200. Obviously it depends on month ends and particularly quarter ends as they are trying to hit targets.

Depends if you are willing to take a stock one or not, I really wanted my own spec as the pre-ordered ones in the system were fairly low spec and no black editions about.

Ended up taking over a build slot in the queue that could be changed - I ordered last week of Nov and the car is scheduled to go into build 3rd week of Jan so should be here to avoid the tax up-ticks.

I got 13% off which was about £5,700 and happy with the forward bid on my trade in.

Happy to send contact details if you PM me, local dealer I have had a few cars from.

Cheers,

Phil

12% for me from Leicester Audi on a S3 Sportback, Ordered 28th October and build week commencing 16th January:

S-tronic
Daytona grey
Rotor grey leather
B&O
Tech pack advanced (with VC)
Parking plus
Privacy glass

It was quite hard in the end to get 12%, but deal was done.

Any idea of the spec of the showroom model ?

Quick update.

Spoke to the dealer just before Christmas, told him about the type of deals on CW being available and that I was looking to match that type of deal .

He rang back today ,over a week later.

He then asked me to prove by email what was available to see if his manager would match them !!!!!

He then rang back ten minutes later and offered less on the basis they can sell every S3 they can get.

Must have it too easy.

A bit O/T but does anyone know if the Advanced Key option includes memory seats if specced with electric seats? Not really clear on the Audi website.

Cheers

I think that is likely as good a discount as currently available, maybe only a couple hundred pounds more discount if you push for it. For comparison I ordered an S3 at the start of December and got around £5200 discount which was approx 12.8%. I used Orangewheels price and local dealer got within a few hundred pounds of that which was fine by me.

Golf Mk7 discounts are running just over 20% as production as stopped ahead of the facelift due in April - not sure how the R compares. I've found carwow alright for running comparative searches on - doesn't generate loads of junk mail or phone calls, so just plug in what you want and see if it's available

Checked quote again, list price before discount was just under £40k and was actually £5100 total discount to give the 12.8%. I was initially after a Golf R, but local dealers told me no factory orders possible due to upcoming facelift.. Still I'm happy with the deal on the S3, except for having to add on parking sensors! I think at least rear sensors should be standard at this price point.
