Hi Everyone

Been lurking on here for a couple of months since we bought a Griff from HL Gorners last November.

Didn't get off to the best start when 24hrs after collecting the car, it suffered a total loss of electrical power and had to be recovered back to Gorners! To be fair they did all the right things and it was fairly painless other than the initial three hour wait by the side of the road for the AA.
Transpired to be the fusible link from the battery that had failed (mechanically not electrically).

Have to admit that in the time since then, on the few runs we've had I've not been entirely convinced by the car, but after a decent top down blast today I'm starting to change my mind :-)

Blasting through the Manchester airport tunnels is definitely recommended!

BTW, I'm in the Stockport area and intend to get to one of the NW meetings soon.

Cheers for now
Geoff

No not planetdave.
Have nicked his computer for a short surf!

Welcome to the northwest region. There is a gathering on April 10th (watch the North West Region for updates etc)at the Romper.

I am another Griff owner and live not far from Stockport. So will no doubt see you around.
Remember to wave.

Thanks Elizabeth.

We'll try and get to meeting on the 10th, what colour is your Griff? I do see the occasional one around.

Cheers
Geoff

Hello Rosso

This place is amazing - the combined knowledge on these small pages is fernominal (can not be bothered to work that one out).

There are complete novices thro' to people who actually repair/modify Griffs for a living!!!

Got to give you 2 bits of advice.

1. "There's no such thing as a stupid question" - taught to me years ago by a guy giving me my 'system training', and completely true here!!

2. Update your profile as soon as you can - pic of the car is the best start.

Have fun

Northern.
