Help to not Murder flowers?
Discussion
Just had these delivered by a florist for my mother's Christmas present: (she likes flowers!)

I think they are roses, not sure what the other bits are. Just gave them a £70 budget and make it christmasy!
Im very good at murdering plants/flowers, so may need some help to keep them alive till tomorrow around midday.
Do i need to put them in water? or NOT in water?
Are they fine in the house? or do i need to leave in the cold garage?
It came with 2 sachet's, one says immediate feed. Do i need to do this now?
Cheers

Definitely put them in water and do not put them in the dark. The only reason for flowers to stay decent once chopped off the thing that is growing them, Is water pressure stopping all the cells from collapsing.
I'm less convinced that the feed does anything - can't really see how it could - but someone more knowledgable will undoubtedly clarify
Won't do any harm though

Won't do any harm thoughIs that a red boxed base? If so the flower ends are probably in an oasis. An oasis is like a green firm sponge that keeps water in for upto 2 weeks and is used in flower arranging displays.
For £70 I'd expect it to be an arrangement rather than a bouquet. If it is a bouquet then put the ends in a bucket about an inch full of cold water. Don't mess around with chopping the ends off when your mum is getting them tomorrow. I'd leave her to do any feeding as well.

70 quid???! Bloody hell, I've bought two very similar bunches from Sainbury's for £10 each! But your mum will love them and that is the main thing.
Anyway, the white flowers are lilies. The one that is fully open you can see that the stamens have been removed - do this with the others as the flowers open because the pollen is a bugger for staining. Just get some kitchen roll and put it over the whole lot and gentle remove.
The green round leaves (and the ones sprayed gold) are eucalyptus.

Totally agree with Claire
For £70 that is very poor value for money
Lillies / Roses / Sprayed Eucalyptus / Salal (I think) / Eucalpytus cineria (I think)
It's probably aqua packed which means can live in the "Vase" for a few days depending on size and then cut the bag and put into Vase. It hopefully is handyiednwhich means you can pick it up and will look the same in the aqua pack and when you put in the Vase.
That shouldn't be more ham £35-40 but depends on where you live

Very nice. Snip the ends off the stems (1/2" at an angle), place in jug of water, in the house not on top of radiator, don't feed.
It is a £70 floral display. Tearing it down to butcher the stems will result in having a £5 vase of flowers. Leave it as is, out of the sun, away from heat, hand it over tomorrow. . Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

kin-lutly shyte Xmas, but that would be rather hyperbolic too.
