Well, (Notice, not a sentence beginning with 'So') who got absolutely nothing apart from noise from the flat below for Christmas?

They gave up around 3:30 am - at which point I thought 'screw you' and put on my music at eleventy.

Seriously - fk this Christmas st, I bought presents for all the kids in the block here, and not one of them (their parents) thought to get a gift for Little Ex.

Gobsmacked, merry fking Christmas to you all.

Ahh the joys of the season!
I went out at 7am and have been thrashing the car around the empty roads. Driving up Southend seafront I spotted a cafe opening, they have bookings later but slipped me in.

So I'm sitting here with breakfast listening to Christmas songs and the car cooling down outside!!

Smashing!

Happy Christmas all!

I had a sober say yesterday as I haven't been feeling 100% so I got up at 6am and blasted along some empty country roads for an hour or so, no mercy for the car! Great fun.

Got home, girlfriend still sound asleep, so I'm in the living room having a brew and catching up on the news.

Merry Christmas all.

He'll be fine - it's a 20mph zone there so the cyclists just overtake the cars laugh

Yes, f**k this st! I've been packing up my workshop into cardboard boxes, to move back to the uk in a few days. I never wanted to move, but problems with the wife, and the daughter wanting to finish her education in the uk have forced it upon me.

The dream is over, back to bland reality, and yesterday I suddenly felt that everything I ever planned and worked for is being stuffed away inside a box too. And it is bloody bd Xmas too! Neighbors had a street party, I was invited, but I was so wrapped up in blank bland emptiness and negativity i simply could not even leave the house. I hate everybody, and everything!

Retired last year, life was looking good.....but so much has changed since last Xmas it is unbelievable. fk Xmas!

I was awake until well past 1am with party noise, and frustration seething in my veins, then 6:30 am some bd gang of kids walking up the street, setting every dog barking, begging for money house to house! "Xmas spirit, traditional" the wife tells me, but they are only supposed to to go to their inlaws houses!

Bah, humbug, ya bds!

Genuine question about buying presents, can I seriously ask why ? Its not meant to be critical just genuinely asking

I bought none this year, not a single one. I just don't 'get' the Xmas thing any more, buying crap for people you don't know, who hardly even know who you are. Wtf?

Wife playing "Never Mind the bks" on the new Hi Fi, and I have the headache from hell after an afternoon on mulled wine and an evening in Wetherspoons.

Roll on Monday 2nd January. *** Edit, I see that's a bank holiday - roll on Tuesday 3rd ***
