Favourite comedian?

Having mentioned George Carlin in a couple of other threads, I thought I`d ask the question. I`m talking about comedians, not comic actors. I like the observational type - Carlin, Hicks, Connolly(sp?), Kaye etc.

Anyone else?

Most of the time I find stand-up depressingly sh*te. The only stand-up comdedian to at least make me crack a smile is Ricky Gervais.

Eddie Murphy is still the king though...

Lee Evans makes me crack up to the point of not being able to breathe, but I find Bill Bailey more watchable somehow - I think his eccentric personality combined with his fairly mild mannered nature is much more pleasant than Evans' (admittedly hilarious) comedic body movements and effing this and that.
