Fuel + Engine Additives
Discussion
My other car is a Cavalier 2.0 8V 140K miles.
I recently added some ASTA3000 and believe it or not it does what it says on the tin. It contains two fuel treatments, one to dissolve dampness in the tank and the other to clean the fuel system, injectors etc. The third bottle is added to the oil and claims to clean carbon deposits and add a fricton reducer.
The most noticable difference has been with increased engine response. It starts easier and over the last 200 miles is returning better mpg. Only a 2 to 3 mpg increase, need to test this over a longer period.
Has anyone tried fuel / engine additives in a Chim???

Mobil, Castrol et al have huge research budgets devoted to optimising the performance of their oils.
quote:Why shouldn't they? The oil companies almost certainly can.
Why should an additive company be able to improve on this?
