Hi all,

I'm whiling away the hours at work on our annual quiz and am stumped on the remaining 8 questions, hoping the PH knowledge will come to the rescue smile

These are close ups around the office - what are they?

Geography
- Where is the most central location in the worlds hemisphere?

I don't understand what the question is trying to get at.

The earth is a sphere - not a hemisphere.

The most central location would be the earth's core.

The London street could be Threadneedle Street, taken from outside the Bank.

If they are asking for where is 0 degrees on the equator this is in the Atlantic Ocean in the Gulf of Guinea 400 miles south of the Ghana.

The name of the islands is New Guinea (according to Wikipedia) and is the second-largest island in the world.

But yes, its half Indonesia, half Papua New Guinea.

Unless you recognise the actual building, that could be most streets in EC3 or EC4.

Name the country in red;
I suspect they mean the answer to be 'Papua New Guinea', which is actually only the right hand side of the island pictured.

The island is New Guinea - made up of west Papua, Papua and Papua New Guinea I reckon is what they are after.

Setting questions is often more difficult than answering them.

Thanks all so far, London street was indeed Cornhill smile
Still got the above few remaining frown - agree on the random vagueness of some of the questions but it's all I've got to work with smile
