Hi, Looking for a bit of help. I have a 2010 Roadsport 150 which I decided to take out on Boxing Day, it was nice & fine but the road was wet and tyres cold. End result was a spin coming out of a roundabout on a dual carriageway. Bounced into the central reservation fortunately with no Armco.

Have got 2 shattered NS wheels, bent De Dion & A frame and the back looks misaligned to say the least. It's going to be an insurance job. Have spoken to them today and they have little idea of who to use, they have recognised that a standard body shop isn't the answer & have suggested I look around.

Does anyone have any suggestions of who to use? I'm in the South Wales area - they have already said it'll need transport.

Many thanks

Afraid I don't know of any local independents, but if I guess you can't go too far wrong by involving Millwood motor Company www.millwood-mc.com

Start by asking Millwood Motors and Meteor Motorsport. Both are in the region and will be able to point you in the direction of a trusted body shop.

Sorry to hear about that OP, a warning to us all. I had the R400D out for an hour on Boxing Day. Dry but very cold; easy to make a mistake.

Thanks for the suggestions, really miss the A021s, no issues with them. Had changed to rainsport 3. Seemed ok over the summer but caught this time.
Was on the roundabouts at Port Talbot, harbour way. Fortunately empty roads.

Really let go very quickly, hopefully be repairable

sorry to hear, glad you're okay and no-one else hurt.

Worth trying Caterham directly? If you have to transport it somewhere, why not back to the original manufacturers? (not sure if they do repairs, but they'd be my first choice to ask).

Speak to John at Millwoods, he can handle the issue from start to finish, if you are a L7Club member, I'm sure the guys in Taffia could help with advice

Check out his gallery.

Let's put it this way, I've trusted him with this based on recommendations & I'll be trusting him with restoring the hard top soon.

Surely it makes sense to have the car taken to Arch for repair? That's what insurance is for! No way I'd trust a local body shop to sort a Caterham. And all the expenses involved should be borne by the insurance company. All this assumes you didn't insure it with one of those insurers who reel people in with cheap premiums and then hit them with Ts and Cs?...

We can pick it up for you. We're half way between you and Arch so it makes sense logistically in terms of minimising transport costs.
