Yep, thats my M1 junction but the 2 islands off at J27 are more fun

Been there a few times in the past week while I have been hooning around - I am at J24/25 so not a million miles away, why do you ask?

26 or 27 would be Hucknall, depending which end you live I used to be a J26 end
J27 can be fun on a Sunday night
I don't think there was any need for 6 trafpol and the helecopter a few weeks ago though

...and one junction down is myself and Judas (27).

Maybe we need a Junction 26, 27 and 28 get together? Now the nights are getting lighter maybe a run out taking in the local 'test area' eh Steve? Or an early bird run might be interesting...

Well I'll be loitering around J27 on Sunday night, wearing out the last mm's of my rear tyres and 'playing' with the EVO/Scooby/Skyline turbo sideways nutters
The last Sunday of the month is the big Boyracer night in Mansfield which is usually good for a laugh, then over to J27 for a bit of naughtyness
The new MARR road and the Rainworth bypass are always good, so if anyones up for a bit of high octane fun count me in

Not sure, I know it's a 'summer' thing, I'll have a word with people in the know and see if I can find out

Junction 27 idlands are a hoot, from Annesley ,to the M1 J27 and back.

I live in Kirkby so its a regular "test" run of mine.

You should have been there when you were posting that message
Last night there must have been over 200 cars there, most just parked up, there was nowhere left to pull up, both laybys full, the road down to the right of the 2nd island was full and every spare space you could park a car had someone parked up there, I know most of the PH massive have a dislike for the 'boyracer' crowd but the cars out last night were not a load of chaved up Novas, the most common by far was the Mitsi Evo, then Scoobys and Cossies, even a very nice 3 door RS500, the drift crowd favorite the Nissan 200, but tyre smoker of the night had to be one of my mates in his BMW 850, it just looked so good smoking it's tyres round the 2nd island inch perfect lap after lap on the lock stops
And surprisingly even though the police made a few passes they let everyone carry on, and there was no trouble or bumps all night, the weather could have been a little better but that just keep the tyre wear down
