Could anyone give me some impartial advice about the running cost of a DB7 (6cly). I was recently invited on a test day with 4 DB7 vantages. Can't afford a Vantage but still think the DB7 shape is fantastic.
The dealer was talking about £400 short through to £1000 for main service, which didn't seem that bad. But what happens with timing belts, clutches etc.
Wife loves the DB7 but hates Cerberas (the other option) so you can guess which way Im leaning>

DB7s are not particularly well made. Notable areas of weakness are aircon systems, weeping fuel tanks and so forth. Go talk to a few reputable places to get a good idea. Places to talk to are the factory, RSWilliams in southwest london (www.rswilliams.co.uk), ian mason in north west london (www.ianmason.co.uk) and strattons in norwich (www.strattonmotorcompany.com)

Avoid all the normal aston dealers like lancaster etc. email me if you want to know more
