help identify the ipod / aux interface

hiya folks,
new 996 owner here, car came with what looks like a AUX/USB+iPod adapter, pic below, can anyone identify? looking for a manual to see what else it does.
It seems that flicking the "Bypass" button makes the PCM headunit reboot.

That's going to be tough to identify, although hopefully someone on the forum has the same unit.

If no joy then perhaps pop into a car stereo installer type place where they install these things all the time, normally they are pretty knowledgeable and helpful. I know RSJ do a lot of stereo and iPod upgrades to cars, maybe drop them an email with photo. Martin is a great guy and usually responds quickly.

It's a Dension Gateway 500 or 500S; I have one in my 996. Depending how it has been integrated with the fibre optic ring in the car, the bypass switch either just switches the unit out of the circuit, or it switches between the original CD changer and the iPod control. As for other functions, there are versions with and without Bluetooth phone control and audio streaming; you should be able to work it out from what options appear in the cryptic menu system.

Although it isn't the easiest bit of kit to use, given that all the menus are operated through the CD changer disc and track menus, I've found mine to be perfectly reliable and a good option to get vaguely 21st century music into my car!
