Thanks for organising another top day out Craig and Greg.

After the gremlin which hit my car as I flipped from 5th to 6th at 6,300 revs, my day was pretty much over. Big thanks to Rob of DMS fame who checked the diagnostics of the car and gave me guidance on how to get the car home. As you can see I'm back, cheers.

Also a big thanks to Rods who let me drive his turbo and Mrs T for her bravery in passing me the keys to the M5 and then taking the passenger seat.

Hope all is well Daz, Your car always seems to have run perfectly in the past run after run...any clues to the problem from the diagnostics?

Suspect it to be the solenoid sensor. I'll be dropping it off at the garage tomorrow.

At least that doesn't sound too serious.

Looking forward to the Vmax's being posted, how was the wind direction..was it a fast/slow day?

Well done Craig & Co. It's obvious he puts a lot of effort into these events and it can't be fun sitting at the top of the runway all day.

Oh and Guys car. F*** ME is that thing fast - I was absolutely blown away.

Ruf sure know how to tune a porka.

Craig, Greg and all.

Just back from a great day and a big thank you.

Still missed any rides but I hope those that went in the Ultima enjoyed themselves.

A few comments:

Firstly, Craig, thank for a great day.

StuB, a genuinly nice guy. Thanks for showing me how the car should be driven, and also for the help when problems arose.

Rods (rob), feck me that car shifts. Cheers for the ride. You are right about them Porsches being in a different league to the TVR's.

MOD500 (Martyn), nice to meet you, catch up another time.

SimonSpider (Simon), awesome car. Might not have been the fastest, but you've just changed what I now aspire to drive. Didn't ask for a passenger drive, however much would have loved to, as I understand the car wasn't at its best, and obviously attrictive women get first refusal. Next time maybe. Also nice to know that 'normal' people drive supercars, no pretence.

Lastly,

The guy in the Silver 360, sorry I don't remember your name. Nice to meet you. Oh, and you might to to look into them brakes, surely a little old T350 shouldn't be able to outbrake a mighty Ferrari

What an absolute stunner!

Craig, Greg - fantastic organisation as always.

Rods, simply stunning, no fuss, no drama just epically quick. I doff my cap in your general direction sir.

Smiffy, nutter, need I say more?

Cracking day on the whole, I am absolutely shagged - I evidently dont agree with 5am starts...

Until the next one.

Hurrah!

What is this slander on my driving style gents? ;-)

Top, top day.

Daz - Beautiful car, you're a gent.

Martin - Savage acceleration in yours, hope you've got some colour back mate, good job the ejector seat has been disabled in the Scoob

Steve - Enjoyed the spin the NSX (ahem) - Great car thoroughly enjoyed it.

Simon - MX5 with power - nice.

Rich - Reach for that ASR button mate... go on - you can hear the voices telling you it'll be alright

Piccies will be up shortly. Thanks to Craig & Greg as per usual impeccable organisation.

Cheers

Great day. Thanks to craig for inviting me in the first place and to everyone for making it such an enjoyable day all round! Cheers to Greg for the pre-Brunters get-together and to Craig's helpers for the marshalling as well

Special thanks to Simon for giving me my first ride in a Lamborghini... and what a top bloke once more. "Shall we go for a ride then mate?" Cue one stunned rico! Similar thanks to Cem for the 550 ride... my first in a V12 Ferrari.... nice torque!

Luca - was good to finally chat to you. Thanks for the photography tips at Gregs place.

Big thanks to Rich for offering to give me a ride up. Very much appreciated

There are too many more people to thank individually. The cars do not make VMax... the people do. It's just a fantastic day!

Got too many pics to count and about 40minutes of camera footage. I'll upload some tonight and the rest in the week.

To everyone who had slight mechanical niggles, I hope they're easily sorted out and you're out playing with your toys soon!

Anyone know when Fifth Gear might be showing the footage on tv?

Another massive thanks to Craig, to your brother, and Greg as well as everyone who helped to make the day fantastic fun, safe and relaxed.

Thanks to Simon for the ride, gobsmacking, and for taking Will out -Leean won't shut up about her go either. I think you made her year.

Thanks to Tiff for showing us exactly how to drift, and being a real funny guy. 195? I wish.

Anyway, everyone there, you were awesome, keep on using those cars as their makers (and tuners) intended.

Until next time.

Sam

Just got back, 3 full tanks and I'm shattered!

The cars were nice but what really made it for me today were the people, on that basis the best vmax yet.

Craig - Absolute legend, evidently run off your feet all day, I salute you!

Greg - Top guy, hope you enjoyed the VX, hopefully see you around soon.

sdewey - Great to meet you, fantastic car

Trackdemon - NSX was awesome, my first drive of a real supercar, you really can drive, the way you took the VX and NSX round was stunning.

Bebbessen, Big T, anniesdad and everyone else I spoke to, top, top people

Shady - Thanks for the camera mount!

I only took a few photos, www.muncher.org.uk/vmax7

I was amazed at just what the VX can do, I don't think I'll forget chasing down the 997 Carrera S in a hurry!

Should have some video footage soon, including the excursion off the tarmac, getting airborn and bouncing along in the field (not my driving I hasten to add )

They said at the end that they would mail Craig and he could let us know through PH or on e-mail.

I'd just like to add my thanks to everyone - I don't know if I'm more blown away by the cars or by the fantastic people who own them. 10 hours went by so quickly.

I don't say this lightly - it's an honour to be invited along.
