People skint and hungover after last night, and the weather's ste.

I imagine most pubs will be dead tonight and hardly making a profit?

I've just been for a very nice restaurant 3 course meal with my family. New Years resolution to not drink alcohol lasted about half a day. frown

busy up here , couldn't even get a table for lunch in a normal walk in , but it's the same every year in our town , Boxing Day and New Year's Day is a cracking day out .

Satellite/ feeder pubs on the run in to Liverpool are dead, only diehard regulars and Sunday eaters braving the gloom.

Town centre pubs have more staff than customers - as of 1 hour ago.

Drinkers saving it for mad Monday - even hardened alcoholics are feeling a bit ropy after yesterday's excess.

There seems to be more people popping in to ask if anyone has handed in property that they lost last night, pi55 heads, don't you just love them.
Pleased I stayed on the Wirral , I was borderline coming over to town but we've just gone home as it's really busy in Hesser. you'll know where I mean ?
