Can anyone help me out with information regarding importing & registering an European spec car for use in the U.K.
I've been offered a barely used example by an associate in France at a price that's too good to pass up on so was wondering what legal obstacles I'd have to overcome.

Not a huge amount, headlights etc. The whole import thing should be easily googlable I can't think of anything specific to the G65? I believe you have to tell hmrc within 2 weeks of arrival via a Notification of Vehicle Arrival https://www.gov.uk/nova-log-in

Youre very lucky, I was looking at importing a G63 new from Germany and trying to keep it tax free for the channel islands was proving to be a hassle, but with the Euro collapse it didn't look particularly worth it. If you don't take it give me a buzz!

-how much is it going for if you don't mind me asking?

Mercedes have a system where they can assist you with the paperwork for import and export;

Thanks for replying back to me guys. It's a late 2014 model with less than 10,000km that he's tired of watching depreciate which is why I'm considering the (reasonably) low asking price of 150,000€

I know it's not a '65 but...

Less money, RHD, fewer miles, MB UK warranty?

We've already had one of those in our household plus my wife's got an ML63 so, for us, a G65 would seem like an ideal 3rd car for occasional use especially seeing as my work often involves the odd European jaunt. If it all comes to fruition I'll happily post 'mustard test' photos

How is the G63? I'm considering getting one, I guess you must like them a lot if you are thinking of a 65. is the 63 quick, does it sound good?

It's either an automotive icon or an antique depending on which side of the fence you sit. In my opinion it is the former, one of the best cars ever to wear a Mercedes-Benz badge.
