Centre locking nut is anodised and can't be re-furbed or repainted. Painting is not an option as once the socket is used to remove the nut the paint will break and secondly you will lose the script / numbers etc on the edge.
I did read somewhere that somebody used olive oil (don't laugh..) on a cloth and it brought the finish back but that was on a grey anodised nut as opposed to black like you have.
99% certain Porsche won't cover under warranty as its a cleaning product that has caused it so the only ultimate cure is to replace..

Hi,
You can refurb this yourself using an anodising kit. I've done it myself on the exact same nuts with good results. The benefit of doing it this way is that you can just submerge the effected area of the nut in the anodising solution so you don't lose the script.
I bought my kit from frost restoration, as you can probably tell I'm no expert but I found it quite an easy process, I also found myself looking around the house for more things to anodise. Anyway, hope that helps.
Ant.
