oz split rims what are they worth

This is becuase you've advertised yours for £1200 and presumably haven't had any takers?
I would love them for my dark blue 500, and I could sell my Estorils to offset the cost, but £1200 without tyres is pretty steep mate!
I thought they would have been worth maybe £800 since they've just been refurbed and not used since, but in the end, they're worth what anyone's prepared to pay for them.
I assume something similar must still be available new, since some LE Griffs has 16" OZ splitties all round.

The following is my opinion only based on the fact that I'm keeping my eyes open for a cheap set, and have gauged prices of these wheels over the last 18 months or so...
Needing refurb: £200 ish. They're rare, but cost up to £1200 to refurb a set correctly. Therefore in need of refurbishment they're potentially almost worthless.
Serviceable but cosmetically a bit tired (ie no kerbing, but lacquer lifting, bolts corroded etc): £400 - £600. Same as any other set of wheels really, a bit extra for the rarity and popularity perhaps.
Pristine: £800 - £1000, more with tires. I wouldn't pay this personally as I have a perfectly good set of 5 spokes on the car - but someone might, if they really really 'need' them. As soon as an asking price approaches the refurb/restoration cost (goes for other goods as well as wheels) I'd rather get the job done myself - ie select who's going to do it, get different quotes and have the work done to my satisfaction. That may be why people are reluctant to pay the actual cost of work done, and why so often things sell for 'less than the sum of the parts'. Also selling wheels without tyres means people have to factor an additional £400 or so for a set of tyres. Suddenly all becomes rather expensive.
About this time last year a set appeared in Sprint in (from memory) 'very good condition' with worn tyres. The asking price was between £100 and £200 and they sold before my magazine hit the floor. I was caller 30 something...
