How to register a trademark?
Discussion
See www.patentoffice.gov.uk
You need to define what classes you want it in and then send off the paperwork. Seek professional advice on the classification or you may submit a trademark that provides no useful protection.
The trademark office then publish your application and any objections are registered. You then need to negotiate with those that object to reach a suitable compromise (or fight their objection).
Cost is a few hundred quid (depending how many classes you want) plus legal fees if you want assistance (the more significant part!).
You could do it without assistance but if you can afford some advice then go for it.
