E92/3 Exhaust mods

I have an E93 and am considering an exhaust mod - something like an Akropovic - but what have people here tried and liked? I don't want a hooligan sounding thing, and would like the odd track day so under 105 db or switchable.

I have a paul the welder 1.5 rear box mod and new tips, Looks great and is just right on sound not to loud but enough to here,

I had a 2 pipe mod and it was perfect! Eliminated any inclination to spend on an expensive aftermarket exhaust. Try that first before you splash out.

Akra is perfect.

Sounds amazing, saves 24kg, will find you 20-30bhp with a map and stays under 98dB at 6.5k RPM, meaning you'll have no noise issues on any uk tracks.

It's expensive but they hold their money, which means that as long as you sell it when you're finished with it, it's probably the cheapest, long-term!

Good to see a recommendation of the Akra - does it have any everyday downsides - like boominess or harshness?

And what is the two pipe mod?

Just look up PCW he does all sorts of different mods to pipes on all performance cars,, Akra's do sound great but there very expensive,

I'm booked in with Paul for the two pipe mod in March, have you guys been track measured since?
