I'm thinking of setting up an ebay shop as an extra revenue stream alongside an existing business (selling the same products).

What is the easiest hassle free way of getting this done?

Could try maybe 250- 500 products to start and would want someone to handle everything from images to listings to paypal / back ends / integration etc.

Is there a company that could do this for me or would it be more cost effective to hire someone in house for a few months?

I guess this has been done to death by now so hoping someone can point me in the right direction!

Hi,

I can help if you need advice:

Single eBay shop with over 20k feedback @ 99.9%
Full inventory system that integrates with not just eBay but other outlets.
Doubled ebay T/O in the past 12 months and the upward trend is continuing.

Depending on what you sell customer service is key to maintaining the high feedback score.

If you are dealing with high volume low price items to make money then you are going to need somebody to effectively deal with the 'non-deliveries' asap or else your feedback will suffer big time. That's one reason why I have stayed away from cheap goods.

Its easy to sell on eBay, but its not easy to do it well. To find somebody with that experience will command good money, and then you have to ask why they aren't doing it themselves as sourcing the product is the easy bit!

I could do it all for you but then you probably wouldn't want to pay me what i'd want!

Ive been involved with selling on eBay 10 years, I'm currently responsible for an eBay shop with a 7 figure turnover and over 100k listings.

"hassle free" isn't really a word Id use when describing eBay. Its great for speed of exposure to a large market though.

If you email me Id be happy to have a chat with you on the phone.

I am going to be leaving my current position to pursue another opportunity very soon, so may have a a bit of free time in the 2nd 1/4 of this year.

Might help you.... the new bulk edit tool has a percentage price adjuster but I've never had to do some many listings, knowing eBay it'll be a nightmare with that many.

I wish it was that simple....lots of suppliers and most increases aren't flat rates. Excel and lot of coffee and I should have it done in a couple of months.

Use the eBay exposure to drive business to your site or directly over the phone.
Google loves an eBay title and once on the hook you need to save that 11% commission.
The person that used to do all my eBay work is now freelance and very clued up - she charges by the hour or by defined project.
Remember you will need to navigate around new account listing limits and choose initial offerings carefully.
Sophie knows all of that inside out PM me if serious about having an eBay presence with enhanced direct sales.

We have done a site with retail front facing and a trade log with different trade pricing that can be changed on a macro ie apply a % to cost or priced individually. PM replied to.

Is it really that easy to source products? Obviously you can't give much away but any advice you could give would be great. Have always wanted to do well on eBay but just struggle in fining the right product.
