Discussion
Hi all..
I supply various printed materials and products as you will see in my profile and I currently have two websites, the main website covers just about all the printed products I supply and I'm pretty happy with how it looks, the link is in my profile if you want to take a look and comment (Event Print)
Last year I set up an additional website (Banner Giant) that just focuses on printed indoor and outdoor PVC/Vinyl and Mesh banners as these are the products that I can offer the most competitive prices on (some of the lowest in the UK from what I have found) and still make a reasonable margin myself.
The website is - www.banner-giant.co.uk
It's a Wix platform and at the time I put it together in a bit of a rush and have made a few tweaks since, but I feel it could do with being more attractive as I suspect the first impressions of it may not be that great. However, when people do use the online (albeit basic) calculator or the live chat function and get a price, it almost always turns into an order once they've compared prices to other suppliers as I'm considerably cheaper than most others.
So I guess what I really want is for the website to first get peoples attention and then prompt them to use the quote calculator (the calculator is embedded from a third party and the style and format is very limited, if someone can suggest and alternative, more custom option it would be great)
I'd like suggestions on layouts, colour schemes and if you could perhaps send me links to other websites that you particularly enjoy the experience/look of that you may use?
First thoughts I've had is to have some pictures on the front page, with a couple of price examples for common banner sizes, and maybe the quote calculator on the homepage?
Thoughts and suggestions will be most welcomed.
Thanks,
Oliver

I have tried not to focus on they actual design as I dont know if you are doing it yourself, or have a limited budget for development.
My initial thoughts on it from a quick look are...
Do you have to have the hyphen in your domain name? (Who owns the one without the hyphen)
There isn't a huge amount of content.
Where is the contact address?
If I wanted some of those signs for my business, I have no idea what size is 'the usual', try to give some examples that are popular with the prices, rather than just assume everyone wants to calculate a quote.

Agree with the previous post. The first 3 things that jumped out at me are:
- no address or landline number (this would stop me doing business with you I'm afraid)
- no "Products" page to tell me what you actually offer. I can probably work it out from your other pages but that's hassle for me.
- the grammar nazi in me would want to update your wording a bit.
eta - my second point about the lack of products page is covered by your other website, which tells me at a glance from the landing page exactly what you can offer me.

In the "headline" you claim to be "The Cheapest High Quality Banner Printing In The UK".
In the next paragraph you "we supply high quality printed PVC Vinyl, Mesh & Fabric single and double sided banners at what we guarantee are among the lowest prices in the UK"
Which is it?
Are you the cheapest or not?
Is the Adidas image a sample of your work? If not (and probably even if it is), do you have/need permission to use the Adidas brand/logo?
