Swap 991S for 997GTS Cab
Discussion
Dear All
I'm being given the option to swap my 2013 991S for a 997GTS Cab. Financially it's a fine deal although because of the age of the GTS the finance is a bit more dear in proportion to the value, but monthlies are still less than my 991S.
The question is, should I do it??? It's a PDK, Cab, full leather seats and centre console, Aluminium PDK knob, but plastic dash. Meteor Grey.
I had a 991GTS Cabriolet loaner last winter, it was amazing, I didn't want to give it back.
You can find it here http://www.porschebristol.co.uk/approved-pre-owned...
What do you think? I have always loved the look of the GTS, but will it be a retrograde step to my 991S?

I'd deffo want Heated Seats in a Cab!
997 GTS is not as raucous as a 991 GTS...but has other redeeming features!

The Meteor Grey cab you are looking at with the colour coded wheels is my old car. I part-exed it against a 991 GTS around September '15 into OPC Swindon. It had around 24k miles when I sold it and it was A1 condition, obviously I can't vouch for the last 10k miles. I loved the car and wish I had kept it over the 991 GTS. The plastic dash never bothered me, but I did prefer the alcantara seats in my previous GTS coupe to the full leather. The car has been for sale now for around 2 months and has dropped from an initial price around £65k to the current £59k, which is about what I got in P/X back in '15. It's a good price now, considering the 2 year warranty and with the money saved you could always have the dash trimmed and alcantara fitted if it bothered you from someone like Dave the Trimmer.
The 997 GTS is a fine car, much better than the 991 IMO... I will be buying another very soon.
The OPC's pictures don't do it justice, but here is a better one.

I purchased the car from 911V (P/X'ing my white 997 GTS coupe which now belongs to ChrisABP), it was a spur of the moment thing after speaking to Tom about what to change the coupe for he said he was picking up a cab from just around the corner from me (Sheffield) and would bring it round once collected. I decided to buy it for no other reason than I wanted to try a cab after a coupe 996 Turbo S and then the 997 GTS Coupe; I can honestly say it is the best car I ever owned. The cab makes all the difference, you can hear so much more of what is going on and ChrisABP fitted me a Sharkwerks exhaust which was awesome (removed when I sold it to OPC Swindon). The other thing I had Tom do to the car was colour code the skirts and front splitter which you can see the contrast in the last picture - I think it made the car personally.
The interior is a bit of an odd mix, I never understood why anyone would spec extended leather to the centre console and gear surround, but not the dash top. I did consider buying the car back when it came up for sale a couple months ago and I would have had the dash top trimmed to match the console. I just figured I would search for something a little lower mileage as the next GTS will be a keeper - after 4 now I have made my mind up that the 997 cab is the one for me.
Here they all are:

as a current 997GTS Owner considering 991GTS I'm curious why you prefer the 997 over 991?
