Just opened one of the Toblerone bars I got for Christmas, broke off 3 chunks... and only got 2 confused

The buggers have only gone and spaced the chunks out and left the tube the same size mad

Seems I'm not the first to notice and be upset...

It was one of 2016's bigger disappointments.

Yes - puts Brexit into perspective.

And they aren't even in the EU.

It the everlasting drive of smaller portions for the same money rather than the same portion for more money.

Old news, thread here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=162...

Terry's chocolate orange has also reduced in weight, what they've done is to scallop out a bit of chocolate from each segment so it's lost about 10%, they used to be flat faced.

I hate Toblerone, but I struggle to see why I should applaud the disappointment of those who like the stuff. Weird.

If you think that's bad, don't buy a Wagon Wheel.

It annoys the fk out of me!

If they insist on selling at a certain price point, make the product smaller and put it in a smaller package.

Given that transport, shelf space and packaging are a significant part of the cost this trend seems rather wasteful.

But how many millions of full size boxes do they already have manufactured before the weight change to the product.

More positive news is that nestle have invented some kind of super crack sugar drug which means they can satisfy low sugar targets but still provide the user with a stronger hit.

This.

They used to be the size of my head! I was a lot younger mind.

Much disappointment when I open one now.

Burton’s Biscuit Company, which produces Wagon Wheels, has this to say on the subject: “Contrary to popular belief, Wagon Wheels have not actually got smaller, most often our first Wagon Wheel experience is in childhood and hence our hands are much smaller.”

Are they lying? I dunno I haven't bought one in over 40 years.

Not Brexit or Trump, just the soulless corporate drones who run Kraft sucking the marrow from the desiccated husks of the companies they bought and asset-stripped.
