I'm going to remove the diff for painting etc which looks an easy job but I would like to remove the propshaft to paint also so once I've undone the diff end do I just pull it out from the gearbox? Also there is a small leak from the seal around the propshaft end on the gearbox, is that an easy job?

seal no idea, yes it is splined so will just pull off gearbox side.

Although I've had to remove the propshaft several times each year, I've only recently bought a Draper 13216 Expert 9/16" 3/8" drive socket. Finding the propshaft bolts loose more that once proved that trying the tighten the bolts with spanners is not ideal.
