Generally speaking I have very little interest in motobikes since they've never floated my boat. However, my interest has changed..

Mrs FS's mates were racing at Brands this weekend (F1 sidecar team Lambert Racing - top bunch of guys). So I thought I'd tag along and get some bike shots (having never shot solo bikes before let alone sidecars).

Here's a couple of my efforts. I'm suitably impressed, there so much action going on that you can see (which you don't tend to get with cars - except single seaters). Some of grimacing expressions are amusing as these guys hang of for dear life at speeds of 180+

I like the two bikes cornering, very sharp and focused considering the amount of movement in the tyres

Love number 47 cornering. See the rider's eyes as he's looking up the track - super image

Thanks all, t'was the maiden voyage for my new 10D that I picked up on Friday (managers special).

Very impressed so far, the improvements / difference over the 300D is very significant the AF seems much faster plus the 9 frame buffer is very welcome. Shot the entire day in RAW, although I'm tempted not to in future, just saving RAW for shots where I have more time to compose.
