New to this site and have recently completed a performance project with my 2008 Saab Turbo X , XWD transmission by Haldex , engine a GM 2.8 litre Turbocharged Alloytec a new crate engine was modified by JB Prestige, cams from Mace Engineering , the tune is JZW stage 5++ plus 19t turbo 550 cc injectors , GS downpipe forge IC . Only have 900 kms on it and will have a baseline dyno run the end of January.
New crate engine engine going in .

Keen to see how much extra the cams get, 19t stage 5's been dyno'd 415bhp & 532ft/lbs in the states a while back.

Should be a ripper beer

Really like these; nice project!

Assume the cams will help with the top end power delivery? I've seen a few dyno's of Saabs/Vauxhalls with this engine (stock and modified) and they all seem to start tailing off quite significantly in the upper rev range.

Was that not on e85?
Either way it's going to be an absolute torque monster!

The engine was a brand new crate engine I purchased from a Saab parts dealer that had a job lot of parts from a ex Saab outlet for a price that was too good to pass up.

I think your right, just checked jzw's site and stage 5's not listed as e85 but the YouTube car is e85 and made the quoted numbers. So no idea what a stage 5 will get on "pump gas"! Quick enough though smile

Maybe 370 bhp 450 lb ft something around that on Vpower?
