Going off the Toblerone thread. Things are getting more expensive either due to Brexit, inflation, etc etc.

Rather than having a smaller product for the same price, I'd rather have the same sized product and pay more because I'm greedy.

Similarly, if I'm out with a mate or my girlfriend, I'd rather buy them their own portion of food rather than "share" or have them picking bits from my own dish because I'm greedy.

Anyone else share my views or am I just a fat bd???

I had an ex who didn't order food but would quite happily pick at mine. I sorted that quick smart with a fork to the back of her hand and told her to order if she was hungry like any normal human being.

When eating out I'm quite happy to share my food but I do expect the other person to reciprocate, that way we all get to try more things from the menu.

I'm sure the sweet manufacturers will be along shortly with sharing sized chocolate bars for the larger gentleman to scoff by themselves.

Amongst many other reasons, she had a number of food issues, one of hers that use to enrage me, was if at a restaurant and we both ordered, you could guarantee that she would announce that my dinner looked much better than hers and could she swap. Often threatening withdrawal of sexual services or sat that with a face like a slapped backside.

Got my own back on a few occasions when abroad and I ordered the most funky thing I could find on the menu. I don't mind funky food and am quite willing to try new foods, I do know she doesn't like Rat (even though she thought it delicious until she knew), Sweet Breads/Meats, Monkey brain, Horse, Sea cucumber, snake or dolphin. She cried for a week after discovered she had Dolphin steak.

Completely agree to all.

One recent one that bothered me was Heinz big soup. Used to be 500g tins but they reduced it down to 400g. a 500g tin would do me for lunch and I could just make it to dinner time without getting too hungry. With 400g I will be snacking by 4pm. I can't buy the product anymore because it is not big enough and no one in their right mind would buy 2 tins and leave the remaining 3/4' s in the fridge and then take 1/4 a day.

Maybe it's to help the obecity epidemic. I am a very weighty 9.25 stone at 5'10 with a 30" waist so I REALLY appreciate it when things downsize due to "taking action against the obecity epidemic".

I was hungry when I wrote this. Can you tell?

By being at the very bottom of the healthy weight range. I have a friend like this, he's like a stick. He eats a reasonable amount but drinks very little, and he's just always been thin. Skinny fit jeans hang off him even though he does a lot of cycling. When I do a lot of cycling my jeans get very tight. People are different.

I am an olympic gold medal greedy bd. I eat like a Labrador, everything in front of me as fast as possible.

If I'm Hangry, which is most of the time, I don't do sharing. If anyone tries I don't react well. I'm not prod of myself in this regard.

If I'm not Hangry, just stocking up, if someone shares I'll let it pass, but in my head I'll be grumpy about it.

As this is PH, I was once suffering Hangryness while buying a car, the haggling and paperwork etc was taking far too long, so I got up and walked out. Mrs H caught up with me in a shop across the road with my gob and pockets full of pork pies.

It's a very brave person that tries to take any food off my plate. I seriously rage up if anyone tries.

Ha, until recently I was 10 stone and 6ft 5, with a 32 waist, have now crept up to a 34.

We have a lot of small plate tapas style restaurants in Toronto, so you always end up sharing, and hungry.

When we go to places with with proper meal sized portions my wife gets 'meat envy' quite a lot of the time as she looks across at my steak/burger, while looking at her own Kale salad, she knows enough not to for a taste!

When wifey wants to share I just pile the pepper on!

I'm 5ft 10 with a 31in waist and really struggle to get below 12st. Don't drink and have been restricting calories. Do ride 100k + a week and my thighs are not happy in skinny jeans!

I am a lot like this only I don't cycle. I snack a lot too. The problem Is I am Gluten intolorant so there is a lot of food I can't eat (no matter how much I want to), Rice based biscuits/cakes don't exactly fill you up either.

I don't really excersize but I am very active and If I am not doing anything then I tend to be very restless and fidgety which I reckon burns off a lot of calories.
