New Audi R8/10

New to Audi, is it my imagination or is the 2016 new R8 /10 a lot smaller than the old models,
Seen a couple now and an quite taken by them, the Coupe. Seems almost boxster 911 size to my eyes?
Def would consider one of this the case, Mike

Nah, it's pretty similar size wise.

There's a lot of "visual" to the perceived difference though. The later car is sharper. And the most obvious thing is the side blade is in 2 sections as opposed to the old 1 piece. It has the effect of lowering the cars "waist line"

I just came out of a Boxster into an R8, I can tell you it is quite a bit wider but maybe not much longer (at least that how I see it when parked in the garage). Its also very squat even compared to the 911.
