B6 Audi A4 Electric Window Problem

The drivers side electric window of my trusty old A4 packed in last night and was hoping someone could help me diagnose the issue.

Symptoms are:

- Firstly the drivers side window started playing up when operated from the drivers side switch. Started off juddering its way down, wouldn't come back up etc.
- I then tried operating the passengers window from the drivers side switch and the same thing happened with it.
- Tried the passengers window from its own switch and it works fine?!
- All other electrical functions seem fine (mirrors, locking, lights in the door etc).

I've not had a chance to do much investigation but first thing ill look at is the loom in the door hinge area but anything else I should be looking at or it sounds like before I start taking the door apart?
