Track day cover ...again
Discussion
This seems to be a moving feast so rather than searching the archives I need to ask again.
Renewal time and my current companyt Norton and second choice LV have declined track day cover, though to be fair Norton will supply it for Porsche club days.
Anyone know of companies currently offering track day cover on a classic policy.
thanks

A Manning are offering a Porsche Club policy backed by Allianz Cornhill - free track day cover for PCGB events. I was *pleasantly surprised* to find I was paying nearly £500 LESS than RSA/Performance marque and got track day cover FREE!
Dunno if it's effective for a "classic" - this was on a three year old Boxster S.

Jonny,
Thanksk for the Bickely ref. They have offered cover though £80 per day in a 968 seems a bit steep as its always been included in my previous policies.
Is that the same as your RS
cheers

Yes it is. I pay £79 per track day. However, I am told that the cover Bickley use (from NU) for track days is very comprehensive in that they will pay out in the event of a collision of 2 cars rather than just paying out if you hit the barrier with nobody else involved. Don't quote me on this though.

That's a good point Melv, Aon's classic policies should cover track days for free.
Not quite.....Cost is 0.1% of value of car plus insurance tax per event. And the excess goes up to 10% of the value of the car.
And car must be garaged and at least a second car....
NU seems a bit cock-eyed? RSA specifically exclude 'participant-to-particpant' damage....

Like I said Melv, don't quote me because I'm not too sure. I think Steve Rance did say this on the Porsche Club forum a few weeks back.
