My Alloys are being re-furbed next week and I am considering changing the finish from the current factory option as I feel they look a bit bland!
I am planning on keeping the diamond cut finish, but feel the current Grey inner Wheel colour doesn't stand out enough against the silver on the flat faces of the wheel.
Has anyone changed the colour finish on their diamond cut Alloys?
The other option is to powder coat them... any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

How much is your refurb costing if you don't mind me asking? I'm the proud owner of 3 curbed 21 inch sq5 alloys......

£450.00 for diamond cut finish on all 4-Wheels.
Powder coat finish is cheaper... under £400.00.

If having them diamond cut they will still powder coat them, only cutting the face halfway through the process.

Ref the colour, a dark colour will always stand out more than silver, so I'd stick with either the Audi grey or black, or perhaps think about having the car colour on the wheels, this is becoming very popular.

Can look nice with a dc finish on the face.

Had to have two wheels done on my wife's after the usual kerb kissing incident, cost £350 and the edges are now looking pitted 18 months on, I am not happy but the refurbisher did warn that diamond finish is notoriously difficult and refuses to make amends, I am not happy as am due to sell in a few months time and the rest of the car is very clean. I may just get the edges sprayed before trading in, cheaper and probably (hopefully) undetectable.

So anyone know who can refurb the alloy face and factory finish, which is some sort of metal treatment like anodising?
Done a wheel on my A8 which is 20 inch with polished face. No one can do just the one to match the other originals that are unmarked.
Powdercoated diamond cut finish on an every day car is not durable enough, and not what the factory do.
