.....does anyone still use these or know where to pick one up?......
My late grandfather had literally thousands of old film slides in straight and rotary slide magazines.......now my gran says i can take them if i want ,so i am looking for info on getting hold of a projector and viewer.

I've tried avforums.com but cant find the info i'm looking for

any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Try a camera shop.

There's some on the Jessops web site...

www.jessops.co.uk/shop.cfm

Also, some photo places will convert slides to digital. Give them the boxes full and get back a CD. No idea how much but may be cheaper than buying a projector...

Kodak stopped making slide projectors in october 2004 due to lack of sales but First call sell them from £120

www.firstcall-photographic.co.uk/scp/Projectors/35mm_Projectors_and_Epidiascopes.html

or you can get a slide scanner for less than £100 and many flatbeds have transparency scan facility to convert to digital image.

I have a Kodak carousel projector that I no longer need. You’re more than welcome to it. Give us a shout. Cheers

Thanks for the replies so far......for some strange reason i thought Jessops would have given up on them.....
The ones on e-bay are really cheap!.....but unfortunately i am not e-bay friendly .....my e-mail addy is one where they ask you for your credit card details to ensure my ID is confirmed (...i never put C/Card details online ).....and the company i work for filters out e-bay type e-mails so i can't use that either.

Diddy ....have replied to your e-mail ,cheers
