Have no idea what it means but it appears on my 2003 996 C2, Also have C16 XSC 226 554 665 and 670 that i can't identify, I've tried the usual routes that where suggested a few weeks ago on this forum but to no avail. If any one out there can shed some light for me too it would be appreciated.

I've also got 09991 on my 52 996/C2, no idea either?

However, C16 is an import to UK spec and XSC appears to indicate Porsche crest embossed on head restraints.

Have a Porsche book with some numbers in, but all I could find were these I'm afraid!!

I have no idea what the actual option is, but Porsche have an Exclusive Programme, where customers can tailor their cars by adding wood or carbon fibre packages, different seat belt colours etc.
Hope this is of help!

Give Porsche GB a call & ask em, surely they know what the codes stand for ?

This car had some carbon bits: back of the Recaros, center console, etc.

THANKS!

I think that code is just used to indicate a deviation from the spec of another option on the car. eg you could have ordered specific coloured stitching on the seats that wasn't the standard - or a variation in the carbon pack that you have. But without having the complete spec of the vehicle its impossible to be specific.

I have it too - the official term for this is
"From the Exclusive Programme"

Meaning there is something in the car from the exclusive range, although I believe this was also on GT3s because of their hand-built nature (i.e. not normal 996 production line).
