Wing/door mirror identification help needed

Found this when clearing the father in laws shed (now passed away) but can't find what it is off. I know he had Marina's in the 70's but then Fords (Sierra then Mondeo) since. Guess its something 60's/70's, probably generic to a number of manufacturers but I'm buggered if I can find what it is off. Has the suppliers name, Wingard, but no manufacturers stamp anywhere. Any help much appreciated.

Probably aftermarket from the local car spares shop.

Yes Wingard was one of many companies which supplied aftermarket accessory mirrors in the 1950s/60s. Raydyot, Tex and Desmo were others and even Halford did an own-brand.

It's not a P6 mirror, though I think they may also have been made by Winguard.

I looked at P6 mirrors and although similar they have an exposed stud head holding the mirror on where this has a nice cap so maybe more exclusive, or as you say aftermarket. Not sure why only the 1 either. I also found 5 brand new original Wilmot Breedon Jaguar leapers in his tool box in their original cardboard tube. The tool box was right at the back so I guess he hadn't seen it for 40 years given the amount of crap in there. He was Irish and liked to acquire things so maybe payment as part of a job or he nicked them - who knows? Not sure what to value these at but I'd like to keep 1 but sell the rest.

That might be just down to an individual batch though - I've got quite a few of the later Wingard door mirrors that were Vauxhall approved accessories for my car, most of those have a dome-headed nut to hold the mirror head to the stalk, but some have a different type with a screwdriver slot in it.
