More roof bars or a Saris Gran Fondo?

We have a sensible family bus, which has Thule ally roof bars, and a pair of bike racks on the roof.

I also have a slightly less sensible hatchback, which I'd like to use to go to Sportives and Trail Centres (yes I ride both road bikes and mountain bikes).

I could buy a set of ally roof bars for the hatch and swap the roof racks over to that, which is slightly cheaper.

Or I could buy a Saris Gran Fondo, which looks SO cool! It would also allow me to fit that to the family bus, if we ever needed to take more than two bikes anywhere.

Help me decide!?
