Hugh and I were due to go to the 'Ring this Easter but my mother decided to have a stroke and now we will be spending our time searching for residential care homes instead:-( We've booked a hotel in Hythe for Wednesday night, tunnel crossings early Thursday am with a return mid-afternooon on Monday and a reasonably priced double room in an hotel close to the circuit. The hotel is insisting that we pay full whack for the accommodation because they've turned people away and don't think they can re-book at this late stage... The 'Ring management on Easter Sat., Sun. and Mon. will open the link between the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix circuit. They will be charging a premium for each enlarged lap, but the GP circuit has a few neat bends in it and it's a rare opportunity to experience the full works. If anyone is dithering over how to spend next week-end, you'd be helping us out if you would like to take over our bookings.
