I've just arrived home from work to receive a lovely 'Charge Certificate' from a company called EuroPark.

The alleged parking offence took place in Norway during October 2013. I do recall being in the place they suggest but was unaware of any offence until now; 3 years later.

The vehicle being used at the time was a rental car and I'm almost 100% certain there was more than one person insured to drive it. The car was rented and booked through my company - company no longer exists.

Can anyone provide any advice as to how I should proceed with this?

What do you think might happen if you simply ignore it?
It seems unlikely they will get a European Arrest Warrant. They really have no viable way of chasing the alleged debt and they cannot use the English Courts Service.

Ignore it. They really aren't going to issue a cross border Court proceedings are they?

With a caveat that if you return in the next few years they may still be tracking the debt. I stress "may".

Would you change your tact if the letter came from an address in the UK?

The letter apparently comes from an address in London.

Europark are legit and their fines are legal, you *should* have had a big yellow notice under your wiper, you couldn't have missed it....no one takes them as a joke.

If there's a reg. Number put it in this link and see if it's the right car (its two letters / five numbers)

They've sold your debt on if the letters come from the U.K. ...
