As in the question, which place sells the best Pizzas, Dominos, Papa Johns or Pizza Hut?

(for the sake of fairness, lets ignore Papa John's completely vile 'Special Garlic' sauce that comes with their pizzas)

Probably PJ of those three.

But that is similar to arguing about which terminal illness is best to have.

Love the analogy! Where would be your place of choice for take away pizza then?

I suppose it depends where you live, there are a lot of decent independents near me. And chains like Franco Manca/Pizza Pilgrims are pretty good in London.

We had a great Doms in Solihull, moved to West Bridgford and it's consistently been the worst takeaway pizza we've ever had, PJ opened up a year or so ago so it's a no brainer.

Whichever one will deliver to me.

That'll be Dominos, then.

You're joking? Their garlic sauce is horrid

Dominos 1st choice, but if just ordering for myself or value for money I'll have a PJ. Can get an Xxl for less than £13 deliver most times!

the best is the one you like!

as for me and franchises? None of the above. I like Pizza GOGO.
I can get them to put extra sauce on it to be gloopy. the others don't do that (or charge). Only problem with pizza gogo is quality is not as consistent and can vary from places.

But a good local indie is better and loads cheaper. also the £2-4 pizzas you get from the create-your-own deli counter in ASDA are very good.

The gourmet range from Dominos was ok - not sure they do them anymore. Indy would be my preference.

We had pizzas in the Hut on the day before New Years Eve. I wasn't keen to eat there but surprisingly, the food was excellent and probably one of the best I've had in a while.

Dominos always makes me feel like I've consumed about 3 tonnes of salt. Still love it though!

I like the Italian range. What always put me off Dominos in the past was stodgy bases. Pizza should be thin and crisp.

Can't beat a Pizza Hut Super Supreme. No need for any sauce on that badboy; surely a sign of a tasty pizza. Stuffed crust is overkill.

I don't mind PJ and Domino's but they're both a bit dry and flavourless in comparison.

I'm leaning towards Dominos on account of having not tried the rest recently. I've never had anything from the Hut and I've only had Papa John's once. TBH, if I fancy a pizza there's good odds of me firing a Chicago Town stuffed crust in the oven. Cheaper and just as unhealthy, can't beat that.

papa johns garlic sauce dipping sauce is weird and not nice. It puts me off ordering with them tbh.

so, dominos is the winner. mainly because pizza hut isn't available as delivery round my neck of the woods.
