can't get google

Whenever I try to access google I get a timed out message and the site never loads. I've obviously got some nasty sh1te on my system from one of their competitors which is blocking this site. I've tried using Spybot to remove it but alas to no avail. I'm sure this must be a common problem, anyone had a similar problem that they've fixed?? I'd be very grateful to learn how to do it.

Someone else on here suggested it and so far it has been working great for me. The first time I ran it, it found 3 items that Spybot and Ad-Aware had been missing.

Exactly the same happened to me.
I used www.google.co.uk instead until I "washed" the machine of this "malware"
