Cheers

Sorry chaps - the TVR Mallory round is cancelled, as is the Silverstone round on 10 April

The first TVR Challenge race is now 17 April at Brands.

The competitors and organisers would prefer to race at a smaller number of the better venues with larger grids than have small grids spread thinly across the year.

Regards

Andy

Brands Should be a good weekend for TVR Enthusiasts.

TVRCC Challenge on the Saturday
TVR Challenge on the Sunday.

I feel a Party comming on for the Saturday night.. good job my race is on the Saturday rink:rink:

Actually its a pity its not later in the season as i'd be tempted to do both races

Whats the expected BHP output on an AJP this Season

Better bring some extra Khumo tyres with you Graham as they might be joining you!

Not sure! Have they detuned them to make them last longer as they are being sold off at £7K plus vat each!

Andy,

Why don't you admit that "Ratpit" was right! Ratpit does have all the answers.

Well James, I think I'll just quote Hugh Marshall's response to you on a different thread

I have read some of your recent strange ramblings jamesc. I really can't see where you're coming from. To Petrol Ted, thanks for helping the Tuscans.
Positive support is what we need.
Yes, Tuscans were formed as an initially disastrous foray into 1 make racing in 1989. Peter Wheeler pulled it round and it became the best one make series ever.
After 15 years the championship has run its time at the top of the National tree and TVR is not directly involved any more; so there it is. I don't believe that TVR even have a race department anymore. I started racing Tuscans with grids of up to 48, awesome. The Tuscan is unequalled and yes at 53 I am an old "has been" but, after 25 years of motor racing in many different cars, I believe the Tuscan to be the best of the lot.
We can continue to see Tuscans race, all ideas welcome. There may be a place for Tuscan racing in the TVRCC. I am actively trying to put together a register of cars and owners any help is very welcome.
John Reid is not part of TVR anymore. He is trying to keep racing these cars alive and I am trying to help him. For goodness sake, can't we talk positively about a car that has a huge, maybe unique, place in National Motorsport and at least deserves to remain in a small corner of motor racing.

As we are all aware, TVR have changed their stance completely on the Tuscan Challenge three times in the last 9 months. First they pulled out. Then they were back bigger and better than ever (and with new cars), now they are out entirely.

Ratpit predicted some of this, particularly where we have ended up.

In the last 9 months or so I have only commented on information that has come directly from TVR or John Reid. I have maintained a policy of not engaging in speculation. That does not mean I have not had my own thoughts about what might happen, simply that I have kept my thoughts to myself.

Like Hugh, I am one of the positive ones. You, James, fall into a different group.

Hence all the talk of the good old days. What do you do now, other than reminisce?. Can't you be supportive of what people are trying to do for the sport now?

I don't know you from Adam, but you seem to come across very derogatory towards a number of people I do know (and many I don't) on here. Any chance of some positive comments one day?

Hui and griff2be both speak a lot of sense. Hui knows more than a few about these here Tuscan racers. Andy is one of the most commited people to have been involved in recent years. Powerful, scarey, sexily noisy, flighty and temperamental beggars. Easy to fettle and very crashable and mendable, if you've got the dosh, and therein lies the root of most of the problems..........Money. Tuscans are not cheap.
The proposed new regs. were a help in that respect but the series was already struggling, followed by the ambiguous vibes from TVR, I make no wonder there is not the following the series should have.
The cars will always be special, the Challenge was the closest and most physical racing I have ever witnessed. I hope it makes a comeback, but I think only the full backing of TVR will enable that.

Never mind sitting there agreeing with me Mr. griff2be. It was an honest mistake anyone (as dumb as me) could have made.
Get that green beasty down the spray shop. Going for that dark blue again are you?. It'll match all that tank tape you stocked up on anyway.
