Anyone recommend a cherished 997.2?

Hi All,
Looking for a highly spec'ed 997.2. the below car is perfect apart from the 5 previous owners :S

Anyone point me in the right direction?
Also, assume 2 cars with the same spec, history and mileage - how much extra is it worth paying to buy from the Stealers?! Some wild prices on Trader and PHs where dealers are involved.
What about RSJ or similar? They seem to have nice motors at a lot lower prices than the OPCs.
On another note, how does the 991 drive compared to the 997? Its around 10k more for a nice 991. The 991 looks a lot more modern!

If you're thinking about the possibility of an early 991 in the low £60k's you should also look at a 997 GTS. Some may say it's expensive for a non GT 997 but they're a lovely drive, you have slightly more power than the "S" because it has the powerkit engine, the wide body, and if you like Alcantara a slightly different interior....which a lot of people really like.
Point you in the right direction. Look for one being sold privately.
My 2009 997.2 S with the same spec apart from mine had turbo wheels was sold to a dealer in 2015 for 40k. I did advertise it privately but nobody even viewed the car. It had a full Porsche Service history and came with a 2 year Porsche warranty. The dealer did nothing to the car but advertised it for a hell of a lot more money and sold it soon after. As long as the car has a Porsche warranty on it then it's fine. The only difference between buying from me and a dealer would have been they offer finance, and of course you pay a lot more for the car.

Have a look at a 997GTS for a little more than you're looking there. That OPC car is horribly overpriced.
911 Virgin, JZM, RSJ etc are great for a safe buy, or go privately with OPC warranty.
The 991S is a more modern/boring car in my opinion. I just swapped a 2013 991S for a 2011 997GTS and it's so much more engaging to drive... The more modern interior is overrated, the quality (in my opinion) of the 991 is less good, more thin plastics than the 997. I love the carpet on the doors, great for foot scuffs. The 991 infotainment is pretty crap, just a higher res screen than the 997.
So, if you can find a 997.2 S for around £45k then I think its a good buy. Otherwise be more ambitious for the money you've got to spend.
p.s. my 997GTS Cab was £59k from OPC

Just advertised mine on pistonheads (991), previously had a 997.1 Turbo.
Tech wise the 991 seems miles infront, I also like the sound on this compared to my old 997 Turbo...

Very very nice. I'm trying to persuade my mate to buy one at the moment. (Previously owned 996 C4S, and F430F1).

I have been debating changing my current C2S on a 59 plate in Aqua Blue which has a loveley spec which I purchased from Mark Sterling of Sterling cars with 6700 mles and now has just 13500 miles .
