Recommend a Nice Pub or Bar with Food in Victoria, London
Discussion
Morning all,
I have a friend (ex-colleague and we will be talking business for some of the night) who has flown into town and is staying at the Double Tree, right by Victoria Station.
I am meeting him for drinks and dinner this evening and said I would pick a location close-by (I also need to get a train home from Victoria).
Does anyone have a recommendation for a 'nice' pub or bar that does some good food?
We'll have a few drinks, no doubt, but I don't think we're looking to get completely hammered as he needs to be alive for meetings at 8am tomorrow.
A sit down bar with a separate eating area is fine, or a pub/bar where we stay at the same table to eat and drink.
Assume it won't be too busy on a Wednesday but somewhere that is unlikely to be standing room only would be a little more sociable for us.
Has anyone been to the Bar and Lounge in The Goring or The Ebury Restaurant and Wine Bar?
