Yamaha YSP-2500 Sound Projector
Discussion
Caught one brand new as 'old' stock yesterday from Richersounds. Now set up and sat neatly under a 65'' Panasonic Viera.
Sounds brilliant - im going to be honest, it didnt blow me away. i think perhaps my expectations are a bit too high of a soundbar as its not actually a 5.1/.1, but it is defo a massive improvement over the standard panasonic speakers!
The sub is crisp and tight. Our house is old, so we have some nice solid thick walls for the sound to project off. only issue is the very right side is a massive bay window and the very left side is glass glass double doors into a conservatory (both have 'bits' of wall around them though, but there is plenty of solid wall behind where we sit for noises to reflect off.
Generally fills the (medium/rectangular sized) room very well, can definitely hear the sounds pinging and whooshing around the room - in front of you- it doesnt feel like much is being projected from the rear, so to speak. Suppose its early days and i need to give it half a chance first!
anyone else using a Yamaha bar? how you finding it?

We have one. Bought in new from RS a few years ago. Love it. Very smart looking well built bit of kit.
People forget to think about sound when watching movies. I think i paid more for the soundbar than I did the screen!
I take it you calibrated it with the microphone and it's showing the blue light when playing?
