NOBLE STORY PROMPTS 300 CALLS ON BBC’S CRIMEWATCH
When a silver Noble M400 made a studio appearance in last Tuesday’s CrimeWatch UK programme on BBC1, call staff were inundated with 250 calls before phone lines closed. A further 50 calls were made to Leicestershire Police the following day.
The feature aired as a result of two M400 models being stolen from Noble’s Leicestershire factory last January. The cars – worth £120,000 – were driven away after the theft and have not been seen since.
While many of the CrimeWatch calls logged were from people who had seen similar cars up and down the country, at least 15 leads were classed as ‘promising’ and are being followed up by the police.
