After nearly 5 years and 60 hours of flight training, gruelling studies and exams, I finally passed my EASA UK PPL skills test at Cambridge AeroClub last Friday.

I've been rather a happy chap since. 1st solo hire flight is booked for Saturday. smile

Anyone else recently passed? It was a lot harder than I ever thought it'd be when I started!

Welcome to a world where a cocaine addiction would be cheaper :0

To accomplish your goal in only 60 hours and over 5 years is pretty damn amazing.

Genuinely massive well done.

Safe flying.

It sure is a great feeling. I think it'll sink in once the licence arrives and I take a passenger up, if anyone is mad enough to come with me! biggrin

Congratulations. I have been flying for 49 years, and still remember clearly the labour of love that learning to fly represents.
Even now when sat at the end of the runway, the sheer excitement of knowing I will soon be rolling down the active, and then climbing away into the sky, is still the same as the very first flight I ever had. Hope it is the same for you!
